So.
Well, I decided that I would post this somewhere.
Please be nice, this is my first attempt at this sort of short-story writing. I get better as it goes along.
Constructive criticism is appreciated.
Written as sort of a journal-entry flashback. In first person as Hirotaka Kajitani.
Heregoes.

Hisaki and I were assigned a relatively simple mission - nab The Book of Ages from the local museum. So we set out, armed with sedatives, among other things. We waited for them to close, and then an hour after that. We found an entrance, a skylight, and jumped in. First mistake. Needless to say, tons of alarms went off. Of course, there were dozens of guards on duty at the time. They were all over us. I must complement them though, they had good organizational skills. There were about 15 attacking me and about 20 attacking Hisaki. Unfortunately, we were ordered not to kill. And, the worse for Hisaki, I was more learned in the pressure points, so I dispatched of my enemies quickly. He was making progress, though, so I decided to go looking for the book on my own. Second mistake. I found the book, and made my way to the exit. Hisaki was right behind me, I swear. We ran a little distance away and when I turned to congratulate Hisaki on a job well done, I narrowly avoided a shuriken coming my way. I looked at the face of the ninja behind me, and quickly realized that it was not Hisaki, but someone else! We battled it out, with me as the victor, and quickly asked him why he was following me, and not Hisaki, hoping to get an answer before he passed out. I did not. So I made my way back to my vantage point above the museum, and saw him through the window. He was apparently knocked out, being dragged into a back room. I returned to my Dojo to inform Sensei. He was not happy, but did not show it to much. He asked me what I was going to do about it. I said, "I will rescue him, or die trying." He studied me, saw the determination in my eyes, and told me to get a good days rest before I set out, mostly because I couldn't do much during the day anyway.
